Martín Sued & Orquestra Assintomática is an instrumental sextet led by bandoneonist Martín Sued. Created in 2020, the group presents a repertoire of original compositions for a formation that consists of the characteristic instruments rooted in the traditional tango ensemble, which is used to move beyond the boundaries of the genre. It is notable for being a group made up of artists. from different nationalities such as Portugal, Brazil, Argentina, Bolivia, Italy, and Uruguay.
LISBON, spring 2022: the end of the pandemic period. A group of artists from different parts of the planet and various disciplinary experiences come together to bring to life a metaphysical fair, the cradle of a post-atomic and fractal tango, thus creating a border zone, at once a separation and a connection between the suburbs and the liquid horizon of dreams.
Asymptomatic Mondays
In addition to the usual concerts, in May 2022, Martin Sued & Orquestra Assintomática launched the "Asymptomatic Mondays." A show that brings together the Orchestra with artists from the performing and visual arts, creating a multidisciplinary collective. In each of these performances, in addition to the Orchestra's own repertoire, a space is opened where a set of new themes is presented with guests, making each event unique. The Orchestra has already hosted artists such as António Zambujo (Portugal), Salvador Sobral (Portugal), Yamandú Costa (Brazil), Guinga (Brazil), Fuensanta (Mexico), Aaron Parks (USA), Mario Laginha (Portugal), Maria João (Portugal), Martín Buscaglía (Uruguay), Carlos Aguirre (Argentina), Refugee Musicians Group (Afghanistan), Folk Band Lita (female voices/refugees from Ukraine), Iroko Trio (Brazil/Venezuela/France), Juanjo Corbalán Quartet (Paraguay), Fred Martins (Brazil), Barbara Rodrix (Brazil), Selma Uamusse (Mozambique), Jon Luz (Cape Verde), Nancy Vieira (Cape Verde), among others. The "Asymptomatic Mondays" stages: Fábrica das Águas (2022/2023), Fábrica Braço de Prata (Lisbon), Encontro de Culturas Festival (Vila Nova de S. Bento), Teatro de Palha (Algarve), Fiesta de la Mercè (Barcelona), among others. They conducted their first South American Tour, passing through São Paulo, Porto Alegre, Florianópolis (BR); José Ignacio, Mercedes, Montevideo (UR); Buenos Aires, Rosario (ARG).
